Species at risk stewardship agreements focus on protecting habitats that harbour SPECIES AT RISK, by engaging local residents as
responsible stewards of their own environment.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Wildlife Division's
"Species at
Risk Stewardship Program" is responsible for administering species at risk stewardship agreements within the Province.

The drafting and signing of species at risk stewardship agreements follows a

"Limestone Barrens" Species at Risk Stewardship Agreement Documents
Four species at risk stewardship agreements have been signed, to date, between the
Provincial Government and local entities within our "limestone barrens" regions. These local entities include:

The Limestone Barrens Habitat Stewardship Program, along
with the SIGNATORY SCHOOLS, act together to implement the intent of the stewardship agreements.
