Claudia Hanel

Claudia Hanel carried out comprehensive botanical studies in our "limestone regions", on the Labrador Straits in 2004 (Hanel 2005a), and in the vicinity of Doctor's Brook in 2005 (Hanel 2005b). At both localities, many "limestone" plants were collected.

A member of the Newfoundland Rare Plant Project, the Limestone Barrens Species at Risk Recovery Team (LBSARRT), Claudia has continued to collect in the "limestone" regions since joining the staff of the Provincial Wildlife Division, as Ecosystem Management Ecologist (Botany).
